Monkeynastix Owner:

Born in Canada, Jennifer van der Wath, is an entrepreneur and mother of three children. With a background as a Yoga Instructor,  Jennifer has always believed in leading a healthy,  active life. Jennifer has a HBA in Political Science from The University of Western Ontario.

Jennifer learned firsthand as parent the benefit of Monkeynastix, when her son was enrolled at his school. Jennifer and her husband had researched purchasing several different Franchises in Canada, but none seemed to “fit”.  Encompassing not only their love for children and fitness, but their desire to continue to work for themselves, Monkeynastix was the perfect fit.

In September of 2009 the first Monkeynastix Franchise  was launched in Barrie and the surrounding area.  Quickly seeing the need for physical literacy and fitness in Canadian children, they decided to expand Monkeynastix to Southern Ontario and re-located their head office to Burlington, Ontario.

Since that time Monkeynastix Canada has expanded its corporate Franchises to include not only Burlington, but Oakville, Mississauga, Milton, Brampton, Waterloo and St. Catharine’s.  In addition, Monkeynastix Franchises currently operate in Toronto, Vaughan, York Region, Barrie and Thunder Bay.

Striving to help Canadian children to get their daily 60 minutes of physical activity, Monkeynastix’s goal is to bring this unique and exciting fitness movement education program to as many children in Canada as possible!
